I’ve been using MailChimp for a while now, and the number one reason I stick with them is that I’m still on the free plan. (Can you relate?)
Recently I heard about MailerLite, and I was attracted to the idea that I could create landing pages and several different signup forms for just one list.
So I wondered: Which was better for my business – MailChimp or MailerLite?
I don’t know the answer to that question yet, but I’m betting some of you might be interested to find out what I learn as I research the two platforms. So I’m inviting you to join me for an experiment!
For the month of July 2017, I will write the same e-mail TWICE each week: once in MailChimp, and once in MailerLite.
Along the way, I’ll experiment with the features and options of each platform, and hopefully also discover the pitfalls and down sides. I’ll evaluate which one works better for me, and for the type of content I want to deliver to my audience.

Here’s how it works:
- You can sign up using the forms at the bottom of this post for either or both of my e-mail lists: MailChimp and MailerLite.
- If you sign up for just one list, you’ll get just one e-mail from me every Friday in July. In that e-mail, I’ll explain the features and benefits (and down sides!) that I’ve discovered in creating the email using that particular platform.
- If you sign up for BOTH lists, I’ll send you both emails – that way you can compare the two, side by side in your own inbox, to see which one you like better!
- At the end of the month I’ll make the big choice: MailerLite, or MailChimp. And I’ll share that choice with you, along with the factors that led to making that decision. At this point I’ll put everyone onto just one list with that one platform, so you won’t get any more duplicate e-mails from me.
